How to Get to Bedarra Island

Bedarra Island is located off the coast from Mission Beach, 150km south of Cairns (and 200km north of Townsville).

We operate transfers to and from the island in our amphibious Sealegs vessel, departing from the beachfront at South Mission Beach.

Mission Beach is a small coastal village and a great place to visit either before or after your Bedarra stay. Our sister properties The Elandra and The Bungalows, both located at Mission Beach, offer convenient accommodation options for East Bedarra guests to extend their tropical north Queensland holiday.

East Bedarra guests are welcome to leave their vehicle parked at The Elandra Resort for the duration of their stay at East Bedarra.

Cairns is the best city to fly into to provide access to Mission Beach with car rentals, private vehicle transfers and bus services available. Townsville is also an alternative airport to fly into.

Please be aware that vessel access to Bedarra can sometimes be dependant on tide and weather conditions, and we recommend contacting us to arrange your boat transfers prior to booking your inbound or outbound flights.
