East Bedarra Retreat is a private north-facing beachfront bungalow, overlooking a small palm fringed cove with a spectacular private plunge pool carved into the granite boulders.
The tropical styled two-bedroom house is all about outdoor living with expansive covered decks, relaxing sunlounges and comfortable daybeds all overlooking the surrounding islands and the Coral Sea.
The house is nestled into the rainforest offering seclusion and privacy and is the perfect place to escape and unwind.
East Bedarra Retreat is one of a small collection of houses located on the private north-east headland of Bedarra Island.
The headland is a parcel of land once owned by Noel Wood, a renowned artist, who spent over 50 years living a Robinson Crusoe style existence on Bedarra Island.
The houses all share access to two glorious tropical beaches, one on the northern side of the headland adjacent to East Bedarra Retreat and one on the southern side of the headland, in addition to shared rainforest shrouded walking tracks.
Dining on East Bedarra is self-catered affair, with the retreat offering kitchen facilities and an alfresco BBQ.
Provisioning can convenitently be arranged through the local IGA at Tully or the Woolworths at Mission Beach. Orders can be placed online and we can collect on your behalf, having your supplies ready for your arrival at Bedarra.
Fresh seafood is also able to be arranged, with several local suppliers offering amazing locally sourced fish, crayfish, mud crab (seasonal) and other seafood items.
